- How to take time off during the Summer

🙌🏽 Word from Rochelle…

“Having the right people around you is key to so much in life and business. Since launching the agency, the staples and foundations have been my family, friends, mentors, network and most importantly having a clear work/life balance.

Yes, I work hard and sometimes very long hours. But, I always have days and weekends off, go to brunches, festivals and most importantly holidays (I love a holiday). My business is a bit of me, but it is not who I am and doesn’t define who I am as a person. I believe in balance, working hard and having fun. Everyone is different, but for me I perform best when well rested, laughed a lot and spent time with the special ones 😂😉 (José Mourinho joke).

I don’t believe in hustle culture (working all the time) and working around the clock. Days off, set hours and boundaries are key. Since 2019, the agency has been operating and working 4 days a week (yep, I was ahead of the curve). I make sure that I have holidays, mini breaks and days off to avoid burnout, but in return it reignites my creativity and focus”. ✌🏽

My top 5 tips to avoid burnout and balance in life and work;

1. Have set working days and hours ⏰

(no late nights or weekends - unless you want to or have to)

2. Book holidays/days off throughout the year 🌴 ✈️

3. Find a hobby or something to do that is not related to your business and/or work 💪🏼

4. Have friends and life outside of work and the office 💃🏽

5. If you’re a business owner remember - it’s ok to not work 24 hours a day, if you don’t want to or have to. That call, DM, email and message can wait.
